| Jeez, the weather sucks now. I had to do alley sprints for a sports workout, and my chest burned from the cold, dry, air. I'd rather have done it with 100 degree weather | |

| THE STATE OF THE BEING ADDRESS is an every-so-often podcast where you get to go ALL THE WAY behind the scenes with Something Beautiful. What have we been up to? How are we doing? When's the next CD coming out? What can you do to help? We'll be answering these questions and more, so give a listen, and thanks for your support! | |

| The podcast made me feel guilty for not doing enough. haha From my point of view even though we have only a handful of people signed up, the board is alive and still exciting to go on. I check every few hours to keep an eye on what's going on. It's good to see someone posting something. Even something small could spark something bigger than you expected. In the upcoming months, even if you can't make it to a show, tell a few people about it. Get a group of people interested in the local scene. Worst case there are a bunch of bad bands, and Dale breaks a string. On the plus side you get to hear a few jokes and practice counting to 40! Also there is usually alcohol, which makes everything better. If you aren't 21, im sure you know someone who is. Pass the news along. Get them involved too. The shows are usually booked weeks or months in advance so there is time for people to make plans to be there. I have been to 31 of SoB's shows(yes i counted) and never have I walked away from the show thinking i wasted my time. Even if all the bands were terrible I was still able to spend some time with my friends and have a few drinks with them. Dale is right, with everyone always working or at school or busy with some excuse, its a good way to keep in touch with people. Not just at a show, but the boards too. You people ROCK ON! | |

| tell me about it.
Matt's gonna move all the podcast threads into on, FYI. I figure it'll make things easier. The podcasts really are the continuation of one story, so I figure we may as well let one thread be the convo. If you want to talk something specific about one of the sobcasts, feel free to start a new thread.
LET'S ALL PRAY REAL HARD FOR A SHORT WINTER. I HATE THE FUCKING COLD!!!!!

| Ok the merge didn't go as well as i had planned. Instead of it keeping all the posts in sections before the next one, it went by the time that the message was posted regardless of what category it was posted in. DOH! From here on out though. It should be smooth sailing! Lesson learned. | |

| I was about to say something about the "clipped" feel the thread had. I guess it'll all be better now. | |

| Yeah, it'll be awkward at first, but now we can cross reference episodes without having to surf through a million threads. We're publishing so many right now, and there's so few of us that it makes sense to me. When w grow to millions, then we'll split again, but for now, read my signature! | |

| I just saw a Metalocalypse scene where Toki says: "Candy; tastes like chicken... if chicken was a candy." He has no idea! | |

| Don't give it to some 12 year old punk. I'll be there! You'll know it's me, cause I'll have that SoB pick I got from Dale! BTW, how thick is that pick? I got some Dunlop .88 tortexes and they seem to be a little bit thicker, but my nylon .73s are like floppy felt compared to the pick. | |

- On The Road with Something Beautiful #2
Something Beautiful hangs out at Penny Road Pub, raises money for Cancer, and asks obnoxious questions to Models - Oh yeah, there was music too! WARNING! You saw that the show was marked "Explicit", right?
Also, bonus content after the show! Come for the funny, stay for a song! Fantastic SoBcast! The bonus song was awesome! Another great "On The Road". Great mix of interviews, perversion, and live clips from the show. Thanks for using the Elenor Rigby clip in there. Bring back the Beatles Medley!!! What did everyone else think?

| Ok, cool. I guess next time I need picks, I'll try some Tortex .73s
These .88s are mighty comfy though.

| I started out playing on Tortex .88s and the moved into the 88 sharps for a long time, then i switched to something thinner for quite a while. Now i'm using .73s right now. | |

| I used to use .46 - .60 for a while. I knew I needed thickness when I couldn't play the trooper properly | |

| Kick ass job with the podcasts. I downloaded them all last night and I listened to all of them throughout the course of work today. The bad candy and malta was hilarious. I almost busted out laughing whilst coding in a relatively quiet office.
Keep up the good work guys!
