Suggest a Band...

Any good bands or CDs you have bought or heard recently?

Yeah there is this BALLIN' band called "Voices For".

Their last CD "Voices for Peace" was AMAZING and I think they just released their new album "Voices For Tolerance"!

I've seen them in concert like a BILLION times and I never get tired of seeing them. They put on one of the most entertaining shows I've every seen!

Its all for a good cause and I must say that their lead guitarist Dale Tippett is HOTT!!!! ^_~ <3

I agree they do rock. I saw them back in May and had a good time. Only thing that would have made that show better would have been a good sound guy...

I got Death Magnetic recently. I seemed to enjoy it a lot less than my friends. I don't really seem to consider it a full "return" to roots more than a "step". I'd give it a 6-7/10. Dragonforce's new CD (don't hate me) is kinda catchy. I could enjoy at least half of the songs. Except for States of Being and the SOW demo, not that much else.

Its funny that you should mention Death Magnetic. We just did a podcast (buncha Losers Bored Meeting #1) and most of that episode was dedicated to talking about Metallica and Death Magnetic. I agree with you, though, it is not a 'return to form'. A step in the right direction maybe, but not a full return.

I agree with you about Dragonforce's new CD. I can take it in very small doses. Like one song every so often. Otherwise it just gets annoying and all the solos mash together. We get it... you're good and can solo.

I just heard the new Amon Amarth CD. Pretty cool cd so far from what i have heard. Gotta love those viking beasts! Guardians of Asgaard is a catchy song off that CD. Check it out.

A pretty dumb video. Herman's guitar was purty, but the lead singer looked like a fag.

What i got out of it was that robot/clone pilot was on a mission to destroy Dragonforce. Maybe they realize that their 15 minutes (solo) of fame is over.

Yeah, that video is dumb. But still not as dumb as that shitty Exodus video.
