I'm not quite sure how to feel about this yet.
I obviously can't help but be a little excited...and I always get a little teary eyed when I see the enterprise

I have a feeling that it will be terrible, with cheap catchphrases from characters to make the trekies love it. Hoping that they do a good job, but it sounds like a cheap money maker to me.

But I have to be hopeful.

I'm hopeful for it. The current trend these days has been revitalizing old franchises with crappy last efforts (like batman).

Oh I thought you were insulting Batman and then I would find Justin to kick your head off. They need to do that with Spiderman, but skip his origin. We saw it already. Just go into a new spiderman adventure without having to explain the crappyness of #3

I'm seriously not expecting much out of this movie, but I do hope they dont ruin it.. then turn it into a cartoon or tv series.

I am kinda looking forward to it. At least the casting looks right.

Yeah, see...casting seems to be decent enough...but it also looks like its uberpacked with testosterone. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

I can see Kirk pulling a lot of the shit that the trailer shows, but I'm not sure that Spock would be quite as aggressive. Yes he's half human, yes he has shown emotion. I just hope they are able to effectively portray his struggle with keeping that balance and give his character the right kind of depth.

At the same time, I hope we aren't overloaded with Kirk's womanizing/alienizing (?) "interactions" lol!

I also hope that I see Kirk whooping ass. In the first show, he seemed a little less BA and tame than was shown in the trailer, so I hope that they run with it and turn him into some badassmofo Batman

So it turns out that this wasn't a huge let-down!

It was a really good movie. I'm not a huge Star Trek person, but I know enough to get by and it was great to me. My dad likes Star Trek alot, and he also liked it alot.

So i think whether you know alot, or a little you would like this!
