Ace of Spades again???
Machine Head and Metallica on Guitar Hero!!! It's a good day to be Ric!
It's never really a good day to be Ric. After the Monday show they were handing out Game Stop fliers if you pre-order GH:Metallica at Game Stop you get a free bass drum pedal. I'm so doing that.
The Metallica song selection is good. Lots of old gems, and some newer songs. It should be fun, but I would have picked a different Machine Head song.

You all hear about how they spelled "Lynyrd Skynyrd" wrong on the front cover?

Yeah, I read it on Fark. I also just reserved my copy at Game Stop so I'm getting a free bass drum pedal.

Yes, this is shaping up to be the best Guitar Hero game. Although GH has been disappointing me lately and Rock Band has been kicking ass. We'll see how this works out.

It'd be great if each of the other bands was in there too. Then for the machine head song you could see Ric in the audience with an "I Love Phil" sign.

I downloaded the demo from Xbox live. Its awesome. Difficult but not annoyingly hard.
Some Alice in Chains song Sad But True Seek and Destroy Stone Cold Crazy (Queen)
Seek and Destroy is weird on hard if you know how to really play the song on guitar. they leave out some notes that make it harder to play than expert.

I just played the game over at Ric's place. It was awesome. Difficult, yet generous when it comes to the solos. I really enjoy the game and can't wait to get it.
Since Ric preordered it he got an extra bass pedal for the drums... Lets see how he did with Dyers Eve:

Hah! I stink!
It's funny when you unlock King Diamond and play guitar with him. If you fail a song he freaks out in a hilarious way.
So, I found a "cheap" thing in the game. I've been playing through the career on hard difficulty, and made it about 3/4 of the way through the set lists. I made it far enough to unlock the final song, which is "The Thing That Should Not Be." Well, I went and switched the difficulty to "expert" and played the song. After getting five stars on it I got the achievement for completing the career as the guitar player...as well as the achievement for beating the game on "expert."

That's weird. That song wasn't too hard though! Odd final song
